Turkish State Minister Ekren said Czech Republic would definitely be included in the privatization process of energy sector in Turkey.

Turkish State Minister & Deputy Prime Minister Nazim Ekren said on Thursday that Joint Economic Commission (JEC) protocol signed between Turkey and Czech Republic would boost current positive relations.

Ekren and Czech Industry & Trade Minister Martin Riman signed JEC protocol in Ankara.

Speaking at the signing ceremony Ekren said both parties have the opportunities and potential to further improve bilateral relations on every area.

Ekren said improvement of relations between Turkey and Czech Republic would not only help economic relations but restoration of stability and rise in welfare as well.

Turkish State Minister underlined that both countries targeted bilateral trade volume to amount to 3 billion euro, "Turkey and Czech Republic will accelerate cooperation works in energy, agriculture and defense areas," he added.

Replying to a question on energy cooperation between Turkey and Czech Republic, Riman said Czech companies were interested in tenders regarding rehabilitation of thermic power plants. He said Czech Republic would definitely be included in the privatization process of energy sector in Turkey.
