"We expect them to behave sensitive about extradition of top members, we have every type of punishment execution facilities in which we can shelter terror criminals," Sahin was quoted as saying by the semi-official Anatolia news agency.

Sahin said that his ministry is working for extradition of about 50 PKK members, demanding Iraq to extradite terror criminals.

"However, we have not yet received any response from Iraq," he added.

A statement issued by the Turkish General Staff said that the Turkish security forces took a military operation in fighting against a group of PKK members at Turkish-Iraqi border.

"Upon intelligence on Dec. 1, a group of 50-60 terrorists were detected inside Iraqi territory in southeast of Cukurca town of southeastern province of Hakkari," the statement said.
