Tombs of sultans opened gates to people in Ayasofya following the restoration, Turkish newspapers said.

There are the tombs of Sultan II Selim and his wife Nur Banu, princes, Sultan III Murad, Sultan III Mehmet, Sultan I Mustafa and I Ibrahim in Ayasofya which is very important for the Ottoman Art history.

Special Provincial Administration launched a series of project with bthe slogan "Old architectures come to light". Ayasofya tombs is the place where most sultans were buried.

In Ayasofya's cemetery there are works of legendery architect the Great Sinan, Architect Davut aga and Dalgic Ahmet.

Citizens will be able to visit the tombs free of charge.
