Turkey was not included in the committee on the application of standards during the International Labor Conference for its legal endeavors regulating the working life.
The Committee of Experts on the Application of Conventions and Recommendations is an independent body composed of legal experts charged with examining the application of ILO Conventions and Recommendations in ILO member States.
During the conference going on in Geneva, Switzerland, the committee decided to examine Turkey's situation at a later date since the country was taking legal steps to adjust its regulations to ILO standards.
The committee also said it had to wait and see whether Turkey kept its promises to improve union rights.
