The CEO of Sabanci Holding said "with its strong capital and healthy financial sector, Turkey had left behind difficult months in 2009".
The CEO of Sabanci Holding, Guler Sabanci, said Tuesday "with its strong capital and healthy financial sector, Turkey had left behind difficult months in 2009".
In an exclusive interview with the AA, Guler Sabanci said that the year 2009 was a tough one. We have to look at the figures to realize how difficult it was.
Turkey has left behind difficult days in 2009. We thought that the three-year program announced by the Turkish government was a constructive one, Sabanci said.
The program has crucial sections, such as privatization. The goals placed in the program are feasible. This is important for us, Sabanci noted.
Asked if her group would be interested in privatization of more energy facilities in Turkey, Sabanci said that they looked at energy as their primary area of operations.
"Finance, energy, retail business and cement are some of our major activities. As such, we are interested in all developments pertaining to these sectors in Turkey," Sabanci said.
