Turkey has prepared a national action plan to eliminate pollutant organic substances, a project which is supported by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), said Turkish Energy & Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Guler on Monday.
Guler, who delivered a speech at UNIDO general conference in Vienna, said that Turkey and UNIDO have a close cooperation.
He said that the International Center for Hydrogen Energy Technologies (ICHET), which was established in Istanbul with UNIDO's technical support, is the one and only center that provides financial support up to 2 million USD annually for projects on hydrogen.
Reminding that Turkey allocated a budget of 40 million USD for the establishment of ICHET, Guler called on UNIDO-member countries to support this center which contributes to projects on hydrogen energy in Turkey and developing countries in Africa, Central Asia, the Balkans and the Caucasus.
