Turkish Health Ministry stated on Monday that a total of 1,095 swine flu cases have been reported in Turkey so far.
The ministry said that the first case was seen on May 15, 2009.
Currently, five people were under treatment at hospitals, and one of them was in serious condition and in intensive care unit, added the ministry.
Earlier today, National Education Ministry stated that all the education institutions --including pre-schools, elementary and secondary schools, private schools, courses and study centers-- across Turkey would be recessed on October 30 to keep students protected against swine flu.
The buildings and gardens of these education institutions will be disinfected starting from October 29 (national holiday as Republic Day) till November 2. Also, in capital Ankara, all schools were recessed this week.
