Turkey says to provide $30 mln to consultancy, engineering sector

Turkish state minister for foreign trade said on Wednesday that the government would provide 30 million U.S. dollars to the consultancy and engineering sector in 2010.

State Minister Zafer Caglayan, who is paying a visit to Algeria to attend Turkey-Algeria Business Forum and hold formal talks, participated in a meeting on engineering sector at Sheraton Hotel in Algiers.

Delivering a speech in the meeting, Caglayan said that he held fruitful talks with transportation, foreign affairs and trade ministers of Algeria.

"My ministry has adopted a new concept for the engineering sector. We want Turkish consultancy and engineering companies to go several countries. The ministry will provide 30 million U.S. dollars to consultancy and engineering sector in 2010," he said.

Algeria was the 4th largest natural gas exporter of the world and Turkey imported a remarkable amount of natural gas from this country, Caglayan said. "We attach a great importance to boosting relations with Algeria," he said.
