'Turkey should re-set its energy policies': Report
"Turkey should give priority to general energy planning," Sureyya Yucel Ozden, the chairman of the committee, told a press conference in capital Ankara in which he made public their energy report.

Ozden said Turkey should not allow monopolies in energy.

"Turkey should re-set its energy policies in line with national interests, and these policies should be based on domestic resources in order to decrease energy dependence on other countries," Ozden told.

Ozden said Turkey should reduce its natural gas dependence, and increase the number of countries from which it is importing natural gas.

"We should take measures in area of transportation to diminish our oil consumption, and make an energy inventory," he told.
