Syrian Minister of Electricity Dr. Ahmed Khaled al-Ali discussed with his Turkish Counterpart Dr. Hilmi Guler and an accompanying delegation what are the possibilities of a cooperation in the field of electricity and prospects of developing them.

Talks dealt with the importance of exchanging expertise in electric projects and the investment of renewable energy resources to produce electricity.

Dr. al-Ali said that relations between Syria and Turkey are good and strong, pointing out that they discussed future plans to develop joint resources of energy and means of developing traditional resources.

He said that the two sides agreed to activate an executive program of cooperation covering various areas such as renewable energy resources and the production of hydrogen.

For his part, the Turkish Minister highly appreciated the cooperation between the two neighboring countries.

He also pointed out to the importance of developing the relations between the two ministries, underlining his ministry's care to realize future projects between the two countries in many fields like electric energy, natural gas and petroleum.
