Officials from Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Arab League will hold a meeting in Istanbul on Thursday to establish a dialogue between Syria and Iraq.
Turkish Foreign Ministry stated on Wednesday that Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Mualem and Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa would meet in Istanbul on September 17.
The meeting will be held within the scope of ongoing talks to set up a dialogue between Syria and Iraq following the terrorist attacks targeting state institutions in Baghdad on August 19.
A series of coordinated bomb attacks on targets including government buildings in Baghdad on August 19 --killing over hundred people and injuring hundreds more-- strained Syria's relations with Iraq which blamed Syria for the bombings. Iraq withdrew its ambassador from Syria, which was immediately reciprocated by the latter.
