Turkey tells Oman, desires to establish dialogue in religious affairs

Turkish State Minister Faruk Celik met with Oman's Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs Abdallah bin Muhammad bin Abdallah al-Salimi in capital Ankara on Tuesday.

Speaking at the meeting, Celik said that the Turkish Department of Religious Affairs had a long history and Turkey desired to establish dialogue and contact with all the countries in religious affairs.

"We hope this first contact with Oman would be a good start," Celik said.

Expressing Turkey's importance for Oman, al-Salimi said his country desired such friendship would turn into a mutual cooperation.
