"Turkey would keep assisting Pakistan," Turkish FM Davutoglu said.
"Turkey would keep assisting Pakistan," Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said on Tuesday.
Davutoglu, who made opening remarks of the ministerial meeting of the Friends of Democratic Pakistan (FoDP) at Ciragan Palace in Istanbul, said the task of countries included in the group (FoDP) was to offer cooperation and assistance to the government of Pakistan.
Pakistan was a very important market and production center, and it was located at crossroads of significant markets, he said.
"We gathered here to support the Pakistani government and Pakistani people. Nongovernmental organizations also extend great assistance," he said.
Davutoglu said Malakand project (a pilot project aiming to seek assistance for reconstruction and rehabilitation of displaced people in the Malakand division) would be a good example for the country.
"This project should be assisted by Pakistani people. It is a good beginning and such projects should be conducted in other regions of Pakistan," he said.
