Turkey to pass Kyoto Protocol ahead of parliamentary recess
Turkish Parliamentary Environment Commission Chairman Haluk Ozdalga said on Wednesday that it was important that bill on Kyoto Protocol should be put on the agenda and voted before recess of the Turkish Parliament.

In an exclusive interview with the A.A correspondent, Ozdalga said the bill would later be submitted to U.N. Secretariat General and would have a period of waiting for 3 months.

Ozdalga referred to importance of Turkey's participation to meetings with the "title of formal member" after Kyoto Protocol, noting that, "if the approval is postponed to Parliament's recess, Turkey will not be able to attend the international conference in Poland with the title of formal representative."
