Turkey to play away match with Belgium on Saturday

Turkey will play two crucial games in the coming days against Belgium and Armenia to keep hopes alive for the 2010 FIFA World Cup finals.

Turkey will play an away match with Belgium on Saturday and then they will host Armenia in the Turkish province of Bursa on October 14.

Turkey are in the third spot in Group 5 behind Spain and Bosnia-Herzegovina with 12 points in eight matches. Group leaders Spain have already secured their ticket for the tournament in South Africa.

For Turkey to finish second in their group and to make the play-offs, Turkey have to win both matches, and then wait for Bosnians to lose at least four points against Estonia and Spain.

Turkey, who finished third in the 2002 FIFA World Cup in their second appearance in a World Cup tournament, failed to qualify for the 2006 finals.
