Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said on Saturday that Turkey appreciated stance of the new U.S. administration on developments.
Davutoglu, speaking at a news conference in Washington D.C., said, "relations between Turkey and the United States are more comprehensive. Diplomatic, economic and social dimensions of the relations will be broadened more from now on. Joint working group will be established to assess what can be done in economic field."
Replying to a question on Pakistan, Davutoglu said, "Turkey will continue to support Pakistan. Turkey may assist in overcoming economic problems, improving of security and compromising with political groups."
Davutoglu said "Pakistan's Friends" meeting would take place in Turkey, noting that, "Turkey has an action plan on Pakistan and I will travel to Pakistan to initiate this plan."
