Turkey's Besiktas seeks first victory against Wolsburg in UEFA game

Turkey's Besiktas JK will seek its first victory in UEFA Champions League in away game Wednesday against Wolsburg.

Besiktas JK which suffered losses against Manchester United and CSK Moscow in the first two games in Group B, wants to revive its hopes with a victory.

Last year's champion Besiktas JK is far from last year's glory with only 4 wins and 9 goals in the net in 9 games in Turkey's major soccer league.

Besiktas Coach Mustafa Denizli, target of heavy criticism, wants to make up for the bad start to Champions League.

Besiktas won a hard victory (2-1) Saturday in the major league against Kasımpasa, with two of its players suspended with red cards in the last minutes of the game.

Besiktas's opponent Wolfsburg won 2-1 against Borussia Mönchengladbach Sunday in the Bundesliga.

Italian Roberto Rosetti will referee the game which will kick off at the VfL Wolfsburg Arena at 9:45 pm Turkish local time on Wednesday.
