Turkish army did what was necessary: PM

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Friday that the Turkish Armed Forces did what was necessary against the terrorist organization in north of Iraq.
"Our troops acted in line with what was needed to be done, within a calendar and in harmony with the authorization our government provided," Erdogan told.
Speaking at a dinner hosted in honor of ambassadors of EU member states, Erdogan indicated that the goal of the ground operation against the terrorist organization in north of Iraq was to render ineffective terrorist targets and to destroy the physical infrastructure of the terrorists. "We have reached our goals in the operation."
"Within this framework, our troops have completed their mission and returned back to Turkey," Erdogan stressed.
"Everything took place as planned by the Turkish General Staff," Erdogan also said.
