President Mehmet Ali Talat of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus had a meeting with EU Commissioner for Enlargement Olli Rehn in Brussels on Monday.
After the meeting which took one hour, Talat said, "I don't want EU to put press on the Greek Cypriot administration, but I want the Union to motivate them."
"We earlier said that isolations must be lifted, direct flights and direct trade should be started. But they (EU) did not do that. They should spark motivation now," Talat told reporters.
"I had an impression that EU and especially the European Commission want a solution in regard to the Cyprus issue as soon as possible," he said.
