In an interview with A.A, Tuzmen said they have to make calculations and preparations regarding the period after 2010, right now.
He also said exporters needed government support in order to overcome the problems they faced because of international competition.
"We request a government support which equals to nearly 1 percent of the total amount of exports. If we assume that exports will reach 107 billion USD this year, this means a government support of 1 billion USD," he said.
Moreover, Tuzmen said that despite the increase in the amount of exports companies made less profit. "When profitability decreases, companies cannot allocate sufficient resources to activities such as training, Research and Development (R&D) and market researches. This will negatively affect the period after 2010," he said.
He also said particularly small and medium-sized enterprises need government support.
"We need to support such enterprises in order to turn them into big exporters," Tuzmen said.
