Attending the closing meeting of "Capital Markets Board of Turkey-EU Twinning Project" in Ankara, Ekren told that member nations in the EU must know each other well in order to be competitive and complementary.

The twinning project improves the quality of harmonization with EU norms and laws, Ekren stated.

Turkey is approaching an economic status that the Copenhagen criteria foresees, Ekren noted. "The reference made to well functioning Turkish free enterprise in the progress report is a proof of Turkey's financial harmonization with the EU," Ekren underlined.

Ekren added that the Turkish capital markets have a growing trend.
