Turkish finmin to join Global Economy Symposium in Germany
Turkish Finance Minister Simsek will attend the Global Economy Symposium at Plon Castle near Hamburg city of Germany on September 10 and 12.
Turkish Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek will attend the Global Economy Symposium at Plon Castle near Hamburg city of Germany on September 10 and 12.
Simsek was earlier elected a member of the consultative board of the symposium. Together with Nobel laureate economists and worldwide famous politicians, Simsek will make proposals about a solution to the global crisis.
During the two-day symposium, themes of the global economy, the global society, the global polity and the global environment will be discussed.
The Global Economic Symposium (GES) aims to provide a new collaborative setting to analyze the world's most important economic problems, create shared visions of the future and formulate innovative strategies to achieve these visions. In particular, the GES seeks to initiate a strategic dialogue on global economic affairs for leading policy makers, business executives, academics and other representatives of civil communities. The GES provides a forum to think globally about global problems. The GES aims to build communities to come up with practical solutions that contribute to the global public interest. The Symposium will be held annually.
