Turkish forces seize PKK's arms, explosives

Turkish security forces found and seized weapons and explosives that belonged to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in eastern Turkey, the security directorate said Wednesday.

It added in a statement security forces have been combing the province of Bingol for a few days and have seized 60 kilograms of explosives and large quantities of weapons and bombs, which were used by the PKK.

The seizure of the arms and explosives coincide with a large-scale operation carried out by over 100,000 Turkish forces to crack down against PKK militans in southeast Turkey and northern Iraq.
