Turkish-German trade volume to reach 30 bln euro
German ambassador Cuntz said German investors' interest in Turkey grew remarkably especially after 1980.
A German diplomat posted in capital Ankara said on Saturday that the trade volume between Turkey and Germany increased remarkably in recent years, almost reaching 30 billion Euro.
In an interview with A.A, German ambassador in Ankara Eckart Cuntz said German investors' interest in Turkey grew remarkably especially after 1980.
He said only 24 German companies operated in Turkey until that date, while such figure rose up to 3,300 recently.
Cuntz said Turkey attracted the attention of investors thanks to its successful economic and political profile.
Noting that Turkey was a major economic partner for his country, Cuntz said German entrepreneurs had full confidence in Turkey, which was currently in its EU accession process.
He said German investors preferred Turkey as it was a continuously developing country with a dynamic economy, high potential, regions suitable for investments and a good position in terms of logistics.
