Turkish minister holds trade talks in Romania
Turkish State Minister Caglayan said that they aimed at increasing the trade volume between Turkey and Romania up to 20 billion USD in the next five years.
Turkish State Minister Zafer Caglayan said that they aimed at increasing the trade volume between Turkey and Romania up to 20 billion USD in the next five years.
Caglayan, who is currently paying an official visit to Romania, met with Romanian Minister for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Constantin Nita. Following the meeting, the two ministers attended the Turkey-Romanian Commercial and Economic Cooperation Seminar.
Caglayan said at the seminar, "Turkish businessmen have been investing in Romania since 1990s. Some 11 thousand Turkish businessmen have made investments worth of more than 5 billion USD in this country so far. Both countries should make more efforts to improve their commercial and economic relations."
Romanian Minister for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Nita said, on his part, that they set their target for Turkey-Romania trade volume as 10 billion USD in 2010.
