Turkish minister in China's Beijing for talks
A Turkish state minister arrived in Beijing, China with a crowded delegation of businessmen.
A Turkish state minister arrived in Beijing, China with a crowded delegation of businessmen on Saturday.
State Minister Zafer Caglayan held his first formal talk with Assistant Foreign Minister Zhai Jun in Beijing.
After the meeting, Caglayan told reporters that the two countries should boost its economic relations.
Replying to a question, Caglayan said, "of course, the incidents that took place in Urumchi made a negative impact on relations. Now we should focus on improvement of relations."
Turkey's exports to China became 175 million U.S. dollars in July and reached 705 million U.S. dollars in the first seven months of 2009, Caglayan said.
