Turkish PM wants Kurdish move to be reflected as National Unity Project
Turkish PM Erdogan said, "we want Democratic move to be reflected as 'National Unity Project", not a project of AK Party ruling."
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Monday, "we want Democratic move to be reflected as 'National Unity Project", not a project of Justice & Development (AK) party ruling."
Speaking at a news conference in Istanbul prior to his departure for the United States, Erdogan said they wanted all the nation to shoulder the responsibility of the project, "we want this to happen in social agreement and broad participation".
When a journalist referred to a statement that an invitation would be sent to Republican People's Party (CHP) chairman Deniz Baykal about the process and asked if any explanation would be included in the process, Erdogan said the invitation could not include details but only request for a meeting. He said the details would be discussed at the meeting.
Responding to a question whether there would be Armenian move and under what conditions the protocol would be signed if there would be any, Erdogan said this was carried out within "democratic move" process.
