Prince of Wales Charles and his wife Dutchess of Cornwall Camilla visited Mevlana Museum in central Anatolian province of Konya. Prince Charles was highly interested in the tomb of Mevlana.


SNOW ON WAY, TEMPERATURE TO DROP

Meteorology announced that rainfall will be influential across Turkey as of today, and as temperatures will drop 8-10 degrees, snowfall is expected in many regions tomorrow. Authorities warned citizens against icy roads especially in northern parts.

President Abdullah Gul will lobby for Izmir in Paris for the Expo 2015. Italian PM --who learned Gul's arrival in Paris, left for the city immediately too.

The Expo fair is a big organization, even bigger than the Olympics. It draws 20 million USD of investment to the city which hosts the organization. Two cities made it to the Final round; Izmir and Milan.


SEPTEMBER 11TH SYSTEM TO NATIONAL SECURITY

The "Homeland Security" system formed in the U.S. after the September 11th attacks will be adapted to Turkey under the name "Anayurt Guvenligi." Instead of a Military oriented understanding of counter terrorism, a central civilian structure is foreseen.

Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) did not send a representative to the seminar.

PRINCE CHARLES IN KONYA

Prince Charles --(first in line to the British throne)-- and his wife Dutchess of Cornwall Camilla visited Mevlana Museum on Monday. Prince Charles who watched a performance by whirling dervishes at the Mevlana Culture Center delivered a speech after the performance titled "East and West: Anecdotes of Spirituality."

Charles pointed out that the three holly religions gave a common message in their revelations and that this message asked people "to value each other." Prince Charles and his wife Dutchess Camilla, later proceeded to Catalhoyuk excavation area.

Turkish soccer team Fenerbahce will play to advance to the next round. Fenerbahce which is competing in the Group G of the Champions League will take on one of the strongest teams of Italy, Inter. Our representative Fenerbahce which won the first match in Istanbul (1-0), wants at least a draw at this match.

Prince of Wales Charles visited Mevlana Culture Center in central Anatolian province of Konya. Delivering a speech, Charles said that as Mevlana told God's goal for human being is to find an eye to see and a heart to understand.

20 BILLION USD EXPO WAR

The competition between the Aegean province of Turkey, Izmir and the Milan city of Italy for hosting Expo 2015 heated up because of the 20 billion USD required for the infrastructure investments.

President Abdullah Gul --who has been exerting efforts to earn this major event to Turkey since he was foreign minister of Turkey-- attended the presentation in Paris yesterday. 4 renowned journalists from Izmir accompanied Gul.

Izmir supports the thesis that it is the center of healthcare in history in its campaign for Expo which was held for 63 times since 1851. On the other hand, Milan competes with the theme, "feeding the planet, energy for life."


MEVLANA EMPHASIZES THE SPIRIT

Prince Charles (first in line to the British throne) and his wife Dutchess Camilia visited the Mevlana Museum in central Anatolian province of Konya and watched a performance by whirling dervishes. "The museum is absolutely extraordinary. Mevlana meets the need for spirituality even today, with his emphasis on the spirit. The three holly religions give similar messages despite the differences," said Prince Charles.

U.S. INTIMIDATION AGAINST PKK

The United States --which increased the number of its troops due to a possible cross-border operation-- moved huge amount of soldiers from Mosul, Irbil and Sulaymaniyah to possible operation areas in the last one month. U.S. soldiers --who were deployed in bases in Dohuk-- are working with peshmergas in coordination along the border. The soldiers are monitoring Sersing and Bamerni villages as well as Amediye town of Dohuk where PKK terrorist organization launches activities.

Turkish Industrialists' & Businessmen's Association (TUSIAD) opened an office in Chinese capital Beijing. TUSIAD Chairperson Arzuhan Dogan Yalcindag said,"Beijing office is the fifth TUSIAD representative office following Washington D.C., Paris, Brussels and Berlin. We will strengthen Turkey's relations with China."

16-year-old Turkish girl Yasemin Vatansever --who was arrested with 8 kg of cocaine and sentenced to 3 years of imprisonment in Ghana-- started a hunger strike together with her friends. She has not been eating for three days to show she is innocent.
