Akinsoft, a Turkish software company in central province of Konya, has begun research & development (R&D) to manufacture humanoid robots.

Company's executive board chairman Ozgur Akin said on Wednesday that their studies had started two months ago. He added that they would start multiple production of humanoid robots by 2015.

Akin said that they projected to spend 1 million Turkish lira (TL) on R&D, and 10 million TL for investments. He added that after quantity production of the humanoid robots started, each of the robots would be sold for 2,000 up to 3,000 TL. (1 USD = 1.493 TL)

Akin noted that the robots would reduce people's daily working hours from 8-12 to 4-6 hours.

Akinsoft company, so far, has produced more than 140 software programs. The company is selling products to 11 countries.

The company will open a branch in Istanbul in November.
