An 18-year-old Turkish student has won the "Junior Water Prize" of Stockholm thanks to her study generating electricity from rain drops.

Young students from a total of 29 countries competed at the "World Water Week" forum held in the Swedish capital of Stockholm with their innovative projects on "water".

During the forum, Ceren Burcak Dag, a young student from Turkey, won the "2009 Stockholm Junior Water Prize" with her project developing an innovative method for generating energy through piezoelectric pulses from falling rain drops.
