Kosovar executives asked Turkey to send religious men trained in Turkey because of 95 percent of its religious men did not educated in Turkey.

Turkish State Ministers Nazim Ekren and Mustafa Said Yazicioglu visited the Coordination Office of Turkish Cooperation & Development Agency (TIKA) and the Turkish battalion in Prizren.

Ekren and Yazicioglu proceeded to Kosovo on Sunday morning after concluding talks in Macedonia where they inaugurated two branches of Ziraat Bankasi AD Skopje.

TIKA officials gave information to Ekren and Yazicioglu about the activities of TIKA for 2008, its projects, restoration works, and Turkish and Muslim population living in the region.

Trade volume between Turkey and Kosovo was reported as 100 million euro.

Kosovar executives said around 2000 religious men were assigned in 700 mosques in Kosovo, yet noted that 95 percent of them were not educated in Turkey. The executives asked Turkey to send religious men trained in Turkey.

The two Turkish ministers later visited Turkish battalion in Prizren, Sinan.
