A bomb exploded near a patrol of UN peacekeeping troops driving on a coastal road in southern Lebanon on Monday.

A bomb exploded near a patrol of UN peacekeeping troops driving on a coastal road in southern Lebanon on Monday.

Initial reports said that none of the troops, who were identified as Tanzanians, were injured in the blast which took place in Qassimiyeh, a village near the southern port city of Tyre.

Lebanon's state-run National News Agency described the device as "a small bomb".
