White House: We will go after PKK unless it gives up terrorism
U.S. will continue to work with Turkey and Irak to go after PKK, said White House spokesman Gordon Johndroe.
White House spokesman Gordon Johndroe said Friday that unless the PKK gives up terrorism, U.S. will continue to work with the Turkey and Iraq "to go after them."
"I think there is one thing that remains clear, and that is the United States, Turkey and Iraq all will continue to view the PKK as a terrorist organization that needs to be dealt with. So we will continue to have cooperation with them on dealing with that organization," Johndroe told reporters.
Johndroe also qualified Turkish military operation in Iraq's north as "targeted and relatively short."
