World Bank president sees 'medium-term growth' in Turkey

World Bank president said on Friday that there would be a "growth in the medium-term plan of Turkey in 2010", but unemployment would be still a problem.

World Bank President Robert Zoellick held a press conference within the framework of IMF-World Bank annual meetings in Istanbul.

In regard to Turkey, Zoellick said the bank had some plans "to assist" Turkey.

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) were of great importance for the country, he said. SMEs and entrepreneurship should be improved in Turkey, Zoellick said.

Global uncertainties would also be valid for Turkey, he said.
