Organizers of the Arab-Turkish Congress of Social Sciences (ATCOSS 2010) set to meet in Ankara on Dec. 10-12 have issued a call for papers from scholars -- especially young academics -- in Arabic, English or Turkish on a variety of topics.
The congress aims to bring together scholars of the Middle East to exchange ideas and findings concerning the mutual problems of the region, and swap experiences. This year's theme is “Culture and Middle Eastern Studies”, but not exclusive.
10 young scholars (graduate students) from Arab and Turkish sides will be completely sponsored to attend the Congress, the ATCOSS said on website.
The congress suggests the following themes (though not limited to); International relations and issues, public policy, society and the state, political and economic development, pedagogical theories and systems, media and virtual reality studies, comparative religion studies, ethics of politics and economic practice, acculturation and dialogue of civilizations, innovation in literature and arts theory, cross-cultures comparisons, cities and urban transformations, comparative history, Middle Eastern relations.
