Archeologists found on Monday a 2500-year-old statue in the western Turkish city of Izmir.
According to an announcement from the Sabanci Foundation, the statue belonging to late Hellenistic era was found as part of the excavations in Metropolis Antique Site in Torbali town of Izmir.
Zerrin Koyunsagan of the foundation said that the statue was possibly depicting a female administrator of the antique site.
