Turkish Art Class in the United States has offered a 6-week class for a classical Turkish art known as Ebru at American Islamic College.
The class will start on July 8th and will remain until August 10th.
Ebru or marbling as it is known in English is an authentic Turkish art that has been considered a spiritual art for centuries. It is believed to occur in Bukhara in Turkistan and to spread via the Silk Road to Anatolia, Persia and India.
This unique art form is produced by sprinkling color pigments into a trough of oily water and utilizes special brushes to creat various designs that are then transferred on to a paper.
The art works that will be selected after this class will be displayed at an international conference at American Islamic College in September.Güncelleme Tarihi: 18 Haziran 2010, 09:12
