At least 13 people were killed and over 100 were injured after a train derailed in southwest Pakistan on Tuesday, officials and local media said.
The passenger train carrying more than 300 people derailed in the remote town of Mach some 150 kilometers off Quetta, the capital of southwestern Baluchistan province.
The dead included the train driver, his assistant and two policemen.
Officials fear a rise in the death toll as the remote nature of the accident site is impeding rescue operations, Pakistani Geo TV reported.
Pakistan has a history of road and train disasters, many a result of safety violations.
