A team of Kyrgyzstan border patrol police killed two individuals in a fire exchange near the southeastern China border on Wednesday.
Border guards rushed into the area after being tipped off about an alleged murder of a hunter, but were ambushed by an armed unknown group.
A statement by the Kyrgyzstan border agency said that its special operations unit has launched an investigation to find the armed attackers who escaped after the clash.
