At least 3 people were killed in a drone strike in restive North Waziristan late on Wednesday night, officials said.
"A drone fired two missiles on a house in Matchis area near Miramshah killing 3 people, according to initial reports," a security official told Anadolu Agency wishing not to be named.
However, the identity of the deceased has not so far been determined, he added.
"The house targeted by the drone, seemed to be a suspected hideout of Taliban militants," he added.
North Waziristan, which borders northwestern Afghanistan, has been prime target of drone strikes for last 5 years.
The US claims that the drone strikes killed Taliban and Al Qaeda operatives hiding in the region, which include a number of high value targets including two chiefs of powerful Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Baitullah Mehsud and Hakeemullah Mehsud in August 2009, and in November 2013 respectively.Güncelleme Tarihi: 26 Aralık 2013, 12:04
