Six people died when a landslide hit China's southwestern province of Yunnan on Tuesday.
China's news agency Xinhua reported that a landslide triggered by heavy rains in Mohong Township in Fuyuan County in the city of Qujing, engulfed three employee dormitories at the Xinxin Coal Mine, burying ten people.
Furthermore, the number of people who died due to flooding caused by torrential rains increased to 39 and 13 others went missing.
China flood control and drought relief administration stated that flooding caused by downpours, melting snow and storms affected 27 million people in 26 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions so far.
It was reported previously that some 1.86 million hectares of crops and about 60,000 houses were destroyed, and the flooding resulted in about $4.53 billion in economic losses.
