Complete strike is being observed in occupied Kashmir, today, to convey to the visiting Indian President Pranab Mukherjee that the Kashmiris reject India’s illegal occupation of the territory, reported Kashmir Media Service.
Call for the strike has been given by the veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani and supported by senior APHC leader, Shabbir Ahmad Shah and Kashmir Bar Association. There is curfew like situation throughout Srinagar.
The authorities have taken stringent security measures in the city particularly in the Kashmir University campus where the President is scheduled to attend the convocation, today.
