Indonesia's anti-terror agency arrested on Wednesday two suspected terrorists, one of them was instructor of the Jakarta suicide bombing in May, an official said.

National Police Spokesman Commissioner Martinus Sitompul told Anadolu Agency that two suspected terrorists, MA and WT, were arrested from two different locations in Bandung city of West Java province.

Two suicide bombers blew themselves up near a bus station in Jakarta on May 24, leaving three policemen dead.

ISIL claimed responsibility for the attack.

Sitompul said MA had instructed both attackers on May 19 at the Al-Sunnah Foundation office in Bandung to carry out an assault.

The meeting was also attended by Muhammad Iqbal -- the attacker's teacher -- who had been arrested on Monday. Iqbal was imprisoned for five years for being involved in a bomb attack in 2010.

Sitompul said WT was arrested on charges of motivating the attackers and leading a team of militants.

Police say the group is a part of the radical group Jemaah Anshorut Daulah (JAD), which has pledged allegiance to ISIL.

Indonesia has been on high alert since January 2016 terrorist attack in Jakarta that left 8 people dead, including four attackers.
