Floods in northern Indonesia have claimed the lives of 13 people, it has been learned.
Rivers in the Sumatra province burst their banks after days of heavy rainfall caused floods to sweep across towns and villages in the region.
Over 1,000 homes have been badly damaged by the floods, while around 40,000 people have been forced into temporary shelters.
