Iranian President Hassan Rouhani rejected the claims that the issue of Indian spy agency's involvement in Pakistan was discussed during his meeting with the country's leadership.

Earlier, reports suggested that Pakistani leadership have discussed the issue of Research and Analysis Wing's (RAW) involvement in Pakistan's internal affairs with the Iranian president.

"Whenever Iran comes closer to Pakistan such rumours are spread," Rouhani said at a press conference in Islamabad before his return to Iran.

During the meetings, he said, the two sides held wide ranging discussions for cooperation in the areas of trade, economy and energy as well as the regional and international issues of mutual interest.
