The Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has said that the long-pending disputes of Kashmir and Palestine will continue to be a source of tension and conflict for the entire world till their amicable settlement in Kashmir, reported Kashmir Media Service. 

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement in Srinagar expressed serious concern over the unabated massacre of Palestinians by the Israeli forces. He said that the sufferings of the Palestinian people had put a challenge before the Muslims and the world community at large.

The veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar warned of dire consequences if India hanged the illegally detained Kashmiri youth, Afzal Guru, imprisoned at Tehar Jail in New Delhi. He said that the Kashmiris had no faith in Indian courts as they were biased against them.

Senior APHC leader, Professor Abdul Ghani Butt in a media interview in Srinagar called for resolution of the Kashmir dispute through tripartite dialogue involving Pakistan, India and the true representatives of the Kashmiris. He said that the Kashmir dispute had to be resolved peacefully as per aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
