A group of women journalists today met Maharashtra Governor K Shankar Narayanan and demanded a strict action against accused of India's Mumbai gangrape and adequate security for them in public places.

Journalist Priti Sompura said that 15 women journalists today met the Governor and apprised him about the poor security arrangement in trains and other places. “The trial of the gang-rape case should be conducted in fast-track court and rest of culprits must be nabbed soon,” she added.

Narayanan assured the women journos that he would take up all their problems before the state government and railway authorities.
