Amin spoke to Anadolu Agency and said hundreds of Muslims in Arakan (Rakhine) were killed and about 500 thousand of them were displaced.
Amin underscored that authorities of Myanmar were blocking media to enter where incidents take place and added, "The government did not want the facts, realities to be known. That is why media is blocked to enter cities and towns where all the incidents take place. Entrance of the media has to be enabled and realities have to be brought to surface. The world has to see the inhuman treatment towards Rohingya Muslims."
Amin reminded that Myanmar was applying state administration and stressed, "Government of Myanmar wants to turn Arakan into a Buddhist state. Each state in Myanmar gets run by a part which has the majority of the population. However, even though in Arakan, the Rohingya Muslims form the majority of the population, they do not even have citizenship."
There are nine different Rohinya Solidarity Organizations in Arakan.
