A Pakistani court issued an arrest warrant on Tuesday against the country's former military ruler General Pervez Musharraf.
Musharraf has repeatedly avoided appearing in court in a case for the murder of a senior cleric, Ghazi Abdul Rasheed, of the capital Islamabad's Red Mosque in 2007.
Musharraf is accused of ordering a military operation against the mosque, which was considered to be a hub for militants, during which more than 100 students were also killed. The raid sparked a series of retaliatory militant attacks across the country.
