Pakistan People's Party (PPP) announced that they will boycott the country's July 30 presidential election.

On the other hand, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) stated that they will take part in the election.

One of the leaders of PPP and candidate for the presidential election, Raza Rabbani stated that they would not participate in the sitting tomorrow in the parliament and would boycott the presidential election.

Rabbani said that they wanted all opposition parties to boycott the government party with common attitude.

PTI to take part in the election 

The leader of PTI and former cricketer Imran Khan held a press conference in Lahore city, the capital of the Pakistani province of Punjab.

Khan said that they had decided to take part in the presidential election, because Nawaz Sharif's PML-N Party would not find an opportunity to take part in the presidential election alone.

"We have decided to take part in the presidential election at the eleventh hour by request of Wajihuddin Ahmed our candidate for presidential election. Nawaz Sharif's PML-N Party will not find tomorrow an opportunity to take part in the presidential election alone." said Khan.

Candidate of Nawaz Sharif's ruling party Pakistan Muslim League-N, Mamnoon Hussain is expected to win the presidential election.
